Services: Emergency Shelter
At the Charlotte County Homeless Coalition Emergency Shelter, we provide up to 60 days of shelter for people and families in need.
Safe, supervised, dry shelter includes breakfast, dinner, and intensive case management.

- Case advocacy for clients disability claims (SSDI/SSI)
- Assistance in eligibility and application for Veteran’s benefits & services
- Assistance in obtaining Vocational Rehabilitation, Goodwill Employment Training, Senior Employment,
- Cash Assistance, Medicaid, and Medicare Services
- CCHC provides centralized intake for homeless clients - referrals as necessary to:
Crisis Intervention Team- Crisis Stabilization Unit (CSU)
- Detox-Recovery Center (CBHC)
- Outpatient Evaluation & Counseling
- AA/NA On-site 6-days per week
- Crisis and Rape Emergencies (CARE)
- Department of Children & Families (DCF)
- Homeless Youth Education
In addition to serving the single male and female population, it is the goal of Charlotte County Homeless Coalition to keep families intact.
This includes married couples, married couples with children, or single parents with minor children. Provision for four family units that are separate from the general population was made within the design of the building. Additional interior family units are also available.
